all our choreographic skills came into play as we shot this spot using 20 or so performers arranged into a terraced grid and then multiplied and tiled in post. the result was a million hands floating like cells and bringing to life this clever script from creative director kash sree.

the group would copy my hand moves live whilst I watched the result on a playback monitor in front. it was a bit like conducting an orchestra and a wonderful moment of control!

it was an honour to work with director of photography, frederick elmes, who had just finished ‘broken flowers’ with jim jarmusch.

we were big david lynch devotees so we had a lot of questions for frederick.
