we had wanted to work with editor hank corwin for a while, being big fans of oliver stone’s JFK, U-Turn and Natural Born Killers, especially the cutting style. hank was incredibly humble and welcoming for someone so talented and before we knew it he had become a pseudo manager of sorts, introducing us to many contacts in hollywood. he was the only editor who we’d ever seen cut, standing up. he explained that the habit came from the days of standing up whilst using a moviola, but we think it was really because he was only 3ft tall and couldn’t get up to the stool.
