shot on location at vatnajökull glacier in iceland. what an amazing experience it is to shoot in the presence of a glacial wall with such wonderful local people. the lagoon was a car park for icebergs of all shapes and sizes and colours, even black ones. every now and then you would hear a crack and an explosion as an iceberg broke away and fell into the lagoon quickly followed by the water rising several inches. imagine someone gigantic getting into a bath!

with water temperatures well below zero, falling into this bath meant instant body shock followed by asphyxiation caused by muscle contraction followed by sinking to the bottom of the lagoon paralysed. from falling in, you had about 45 seconds.

luckily, we had plenty of Chivas standing by.

the best wrap party I can recall was held in the truck during the 6 hour drive back to reykjavik with dan landin, leifur, valerie and myself drinking Chivas in plastic cups. unforgettable.
